Our Mission: Pawsitive Impact Therapy Team brings comfort, encouragement, and support to individuals and communities through trained therapy dogs and dedicated handlers. With compassion, professionalism, and integrity, our vetted teams create meaningful connections that uplift those we serve.
Who are we and why do we do what we do:
Established in 2018 and rebranded in 2026, the Pawsitive Impact Therapy Team (formerly known as the Top Dog Therapy Team), is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people through the healing powers of our canine partners. Our team of therapy dogs and handlers provide free visits to medical centers, education centers at all levels, recovery centers, public events, one on one hospice and cancer treatment comfort and bereavement support.
We have earned full affiliation with the American Kennel Club as a Therapy Dog Organization, and have been a multi-time winner of the Tribune Review Best of Best Non-Profit in Westmoreland County. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for people of all ages and abilities, and we have seen our services make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.
The Top Dog Therapy Team has rebranded to the Pawsitive Impact Therapy Team!
Over the last few months, the Top Dog Therapy Team has been making important changes to legally disassociate our team from our founder and prior president. As part of our ongoing efforts to differentiate the new leadership team and our core values (commitment to laws, regulations and safety), we concluded that a top to bottom re-branding of the team was appropriate.

Effective June 12, 2026, our organization will now operate under the name Pawsitive Impact Therapy Team with a new logo and new team colors. We have the same great team of almost 80 certified therapy dogs and dedicated handlers, spreading hope, comfort and love throughout our community.
